*** We have a winner! Joellen who said: I love the Sayuri because it can be used with a boy or a girl. With my first 2 kids, I didn't have a sling. But, I'm beginning to think with the 3rd one, things may be a lot easier to have more hands to deal with my little rascals. I think a sling would make my life a whole lot easier and make the adjustment to 3 less daunting =) ***

Thank you all for making this such a great giveaway. Check back soon for more great prizes!

Love the Melanie sling!! Every mom needs a sling so she can chase after her toddler and hold a baby at the same time!!

Love Sayuri! I love these slings! They the coolest ones out there & I love having my hands free!!!
And I'm subscribing right now!

Love the Elisha! Having never tried a sling apart from a Snugli (which my kids hated) I'm looking to try a sling that I can use from tiny baby stage on. Also I wanted a sling that I can fold and store in the diaper bag to have with me at all times. And with 3 active boys already, having both hands free with this baby would be wonderful! :)

I love the Emily sling (since the Elizabeth was discontinued, anyway). I love the bright blue color and big swath of white flower petals. I will need a sling around the end of May when my first little baby makes its way into the world. I have seen the slings in action, and am a fan of how secure they are while being simple, and how they free up mom to work! My husband said he would even wear one if we could get it in a solid "manly" color... Ever think of doing a daddy-sling??

You know.. I don't have a single pink sling.. all my slings are blue, or green, or black (ok I say that like I have 50 slings.. lol um I have 3.. and one is blue, one is green and one is black.. LOL) I have always wanted a pink one but I always thought it would be bad since I have a boy.. but dang it.. I WANT a pink sling.. so my vote is for Marriane!

I think i like adele the best. I need one because, i don't have one. I have a baby bjorn and I'm sick of it. My baby loves to be held all the time, but with 2 other kids that is simply too hard. i need a sling

Oh my, they are all so beautiful!! I think I finally decided that the Ophelia sling is my favorite.

Best reason for needing a sling...hands-free baby snuggling! Gotta love it.

I love the Melanie design. I need a sling because I'm about to have my first baby and I'm afraid of colic! I know from talking to my friends that slings can really help the baby feel secure and cut down on their crying which I would love! Thanks for the chance. afdr3d@umkc.edu

Its a toss up between Marianne and Ophelia! I love the reversibility and the pocket!

The best reason for ME to wear a sling is that I will be having my 4th baby next month and I need free hands. Slings are an easy way to have a happy baby while still doing things with the older kids.

I need all the entries I can get so I am subscribing also!

I tried putting my email in on your site but it wouldn't subscribe me, I subscribed to your RSS instead then.

It is SO hard to pick a favorite pattern! I think I'll go with the Elisa.

I love the Elisa sling-- gorgeous design! I have four girls (my oldest just turned six), and I'm homeschooling the two oldest. I love slings and could use one nearly nonstop, especially considering my youngest is just three months old! :) I love that they are so versatile and that I could hip-carry my two-year old in the same sling that I would carry the baby.

I've subscribed to your feed, as well. I could dream over so many of these items reviewed here!

And the best reason for needing a sling is already having a toddler! You need those hands free.

I love the Elizabeth! I know babywearing is important, but it is especially important to me - I have an old arm injury which keeps me from being able to hold kids normally for very long. So a sling will make it possible for me to carry my babies!

My favorite is the Melanie. I NEED, NEED and WANT, WANT one of these slings because:
1. My 2nd son will be 15 months old and I will need all the extra hands I can get so the sling would allow me to save him from himself
2. My 1st son is a junior in high school and is on the football team - Winter is upon us and we live in the mountains & need to keep him warm, what better way than with a sling.
3. Because this new baby is another boy and these slings look so fabulous and feminine. Save me from Testosterone Town.

Adele is my favorite pattern. As for a good reason to need a new baby sling, well...I don't know how I'm going to continue to take my daily walks with this new babyontheway+toddler+preschooler, since the preschooler is the only one strong enough to walk this crazy mountain we live on! Is that a good reason? Also, I just subscribed to your feed. I looked over some of your other posts. Good writing!

Is that 3 entries? :-)

I like the Sayuri sling the best, although they're all beautiful!

I'll be picking up the baby at daycare #1, jumping on a bus to daycare #2 to pick up the big kid, then hauling both back to the bus to get home every afternoon. In the snow, uphill both ways, with no shoes! (OK, just the snow part is true - I live in WI.)

My favorite is Marianne. I haven't tried a sling before, but was considering making one on my own...with my sewing experience that may be a horrible idea!

Sarah said...

Also, the reason I need/want one is that I have two little girls (almost 4 and 20 mos) and another on the way. I had a front carrier which I didn't love, but used because I had it. I melted the straps in the dryer last time it got barfed on and now it is even more uncomfortable than ever! Save me!

Todd and Shana said...

I love them all, though it's a toss up between Sayuri and Melanie for my favorites! I guess my best reason is that when I have this baby my very active little girl will only be 21 months old and I'll need all the help I can get!

Well, firstly my fave has to be Ophelia for both the fabric and the opulent name. Secondly, I am not pregnant yet but am on my fertility injectable meds and my docs think I should be for sure pregnant by December! and I would love a sling. I never used one with my first born (4 yrs ago ) because we lived in London and he would have been crushed in teh throngs of people on the tube and streets.
Also, positive thoughts and being prepared help my thought processes.
Don't worry though, if I were not able to get pregnant, I would gift it no problem. Nearly everyone I know is pregnant/ getting pregnant. So it will have a good home. - Wow, what an essay, its almost a blog in itself.

I love the sayuri.

What fun, eye=popping fabric selections! I love the Sayuri for my little guy. I love using a sling to balance carrying a baby AND a diaper bag...and the car keys. Fetching the mail (and packages) also is WAY easier with a baby sling than baby on hip and one hand balancing everything else PLUS opening doors. I want a backup sling. I have one. When it's got spit up, snot, or other baby stuff on it, it'd be great to have a back up.

My favorite is Josephine! I desperately need one of these because I am due with my third baby (a boy) in Dec. and I have been absolutely frazzled thinking about how I am going to manage, I have two other children (4 & 5) that both still need to hold hands, and unfortunately, God only blessed me with two hands, so three kids are going to be mega hard to transition to! I love the Melanie sling! A mom's gotta get some mom stuff done now and then and knowing baby's secure and happy in a sling allows that to happen!

Love the Marianne Sling! Very cool!

My favorite is the Sayuri. Little ones love the comfort of being in a sling, and it helps mom to have her hands free, and her baby close.

Ahh I was torn trying to pick my favorite fabric. First instinct was Ruthie! I could use a sling since this will be my 4th baby and I don't have enough hands for all these kiddos. Also I breastfeed and the closest is the bestest!! Thanks!

My favorite is the Melanie, a lovely combination.... My reason for wanting to win, is not for myself as my children are all grown, but for a friend of my daughter who is having her third baby and would not be able to afford this herself.

I really like the Marianne design. I would love to win this for my BF who is due to give birth to my goddaughter in the next 2 weeks. She has an active toddler as well so it would be nice to give her a free hand.

I love the Adele style! (partly because that was one of the names I was considering for my baby girl who was born in June!)

Speaking of that sweet little girl (who we named Lydia), she sure does love her mama and just wants to be held all day. I need the sling to be able to hold her while I do other things. :)

Also, I subscribed!

I love the Sayuri because it can be used with a boy or a girl. I believe in keeping your baby as close as possible for as long as possible. A sling would allow you to do this and still allow you to keep your hands free to engage in other activities - such as grocery shopping or even doing laundry. Thanks so much for a great giveaway!
